I think everyone will agree that this is a massive boost for the team at MSXBW, they all put in alot of effort into providing an excellent service for it’s users, offering unique services such as thier Instant Win competitions and Gaming Nights. The forums on the website are full of polite and intelignet 360 users with interesting threads to read and reply to. MSXBW excel at providing excellent reviews and previews that cover everything that the reader wants to know!

MSXBW Live Event: Halo 3 [July '08] Results

It was a shame that not all clan members could make it, only myself and LCDking were able to play. The night was a good laugh.

Only 3 prizes were on offer for the event, and because great talents such as Lithane and Vicktacular made an appearance the competition was extremely tough!

There was no suprise when the final results were announced

1st place: Lithane

2nd place: Vicktacular

3rd place: Rikoshay

Congratulations to Lithane and Vicktacular, they really did show outstanding skill and performed to a very high standard. We all have the up-most respect for you guys!

MSXBW Live Event: Halo 3 [July '08]

Horray another gaming night, and on Halo 3 again!

If you don’t already know, our friends over at MSXBOX-World host gaming nights every month to bring the community together for a few games. The game chosen varies each month and prizes are given to participants who do well!

It costs nothing to join in and is well worth while, they’re allot of fun and who knows, you might get some prizes out of it!

What’s this? A gaming night? Yes, get a post in!! We’re getting back into the Halo mood here at msxbox-world thanks to the recent Bungie Day and them giving all of us another reason to jump online and shoot at each other by them releasing the new free map, Cold Storage. What more could you want than to tea-bag the msxbox staff? Well, we just so happen to have some Xbox 360 games to giveaway too, we’ve not worked out yet how we’re going to be giving these away. As always we’ll come up with something to make sure that everyone taking part has a good time and stands a chance at bagging a prize.

We’ll be using our MSXBOX WORLD gamertag yet again, so make sure that you add this to your friend’s list as well as posting here. The purpose for the gamertag is so none of us have to sort through a load of friends (potentially removing people) to invite participants, so it makes it much easier just to have everyone taking part to be a friend on the MSXBOX WORLD gamertag.

You can simply click here to add MSXBOX WORLD to your Xbox LIVE Friends List (be signed into Xbox.com with your gamertag). Please note that you may receive a game invite from any of the staff here, and this may not be from the MSXBOX WORLD gamertag. The new gamertag’s purpose is for storing Gamer Night participants tags, so we can easily access the list and send a game invite when due. Any news and/or update messages regarding the event will be sent from this gamertag to all gamers that have posted their interest in taking part.

Note: This event is open only to UK gamers. Please make sure you have downloaded all the available FREE multiplayer map packs for Halo 3 before the event is due to take place, this includes the new Cold Storage map as well as the Heroic Map Pack.

MSXBW Live Event: GTA4 – Results

The tenth MSXBW Live Event kicked off at 7pm on Saturday 17th March ‘08. This time we gathered to play the blockbuster game Grand Theft Auto 4, an obvious choice really. There wasn’t allot of interest shown in the event because initially no prizes were announced, the players able to attended were:

and one other guy.. something lee? I’ve forgoten the name!

The night kicked off with some confusion from ShadowMask (Rob Cram), he couldn’t quite figure out how to set up games the way we wanted due to the shoddy multiplayer ‘menu’. Once everything was sorted we had some great games, Mafiya Work and Car Jack City were allot of fun and the Cannonball Run was entertaining. Most of the night was dominated by races which did get a bit tedious, the boat and helicopter races were long and boring however the ice cream truck and fire engine race was allot of fun!
We then ventured into some free roam where allot of people ducked out without saying goodbye!
With just Rikoshay, Waynimus, LCDking and CrimsonSlam left we proceeded to hold up a Burger Shot with a 4* wanted level, Jump off buildings into helicopter blades to see how far they’d sling us! and try to get scooters up 20 flights of stairs (just so we cound ride them off the building!) In my opinion the most fun was had in the free roam, very relaxed and a good laugh!

The following day Waynimus announced a secret prize (very sneaky) which was awarded to Silesky for being the most concistent player. Silesky claims one free Xbox Live Arcade Game.

So in future guys, when no prizes are announced there still could be something they’re hiding so always check for the monthly live events over at MSXBOX World!

Overall a very entertaining night, beats hunting pidgeons any day!

GTA4 – 2 Days

Only 2 more days guys!

There wont be much posted here for a little while. But expect some clan news and GTA4 impressions shortly after the game is released!

Could GTA4 be good for clan matches? Will this be PB’s new Saints Row?

MSXBW Live Event: Halo 3 – Results

The night could have gone allot better, definately very dissapointing, 16 people registered and only 7 players showed up and stuck it out.

There was supposed to be 16 players!

No results were taken down due to the small turn-out, but one prize was on offer and was awarded to someone at random. Mark96 won a promotional code for the Legendary Map Pack, enabling him to download the maps free of charge, saving him 800mp.

No real serious games were played, we mainly played Forge varaints and other custom games, including a few games of Rocket Race, when we have the numbers. The night ended at around 10pm

All in all it was a fairly entertaining night, we had some laughs, just a shame that people didn’t show up. I think the main reason for this was due to the lack of prizes on offer, it’s a shame people don’t want to play for fun anymore!

Congratulations to Mark, and let’s hope the next gaming night goes allot better.

It’s that time of the month again! The lovely chappies over at MSXBOX-World are another gaming night, this time on Halo 3.

I’m expecting ALL team members to make an appearance, there are NO excuses!

We return to Halo 3 for our next Xbox LIVE Gaming Event, scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 26th from 7p.m.

This event is open to all of our forum members, as per usual post here stating that you want to take part, we look forward to gaming with you all again.
