NHL 09 – EA Sports Hockey League [28/09/08]

There’s not really alot of an update this week. We’ve got plenty of stats to show but there’s no media this week. It’s pretty hard to get decent videos from an online game because of the replay system. The only time we can really get a decent video is if someone scores an OT goal, which hasn’t happened alot this week because we haven’t let any games get that far! We could of course pause the game and get a replay straight after a good goal, but the amount of time it takes to upload the video would definately piss the other team off, and we don’t want to be doing that!

Most of this weeks games have been played by just Rikoshay and Mark96, mainly because we’re online the most out of the team. But we’ve done really well this week, we only taken 4 loses out of 16 games which is outstanding!

As you can see from our player stats below, Mark is scoring alot of goals for the team which is excellent, you’ll notice he’s got 65 goals from 44 games. Congratulations dude, keep up the great work!

Unfortunately however Phill’s record has dropped alot since last week, you need to pick up the pace dude, -7 isn’t good enough!

NHL 09 – EA Sports Hockey League [19/09/08]

Yeeeeah do the Peter Griffin Bump!

I’m updating this a little early because there’s so much to get onto the site, I was frightened if I left it til Sunday the post would be too big.

It’s been an eventful week we’ve played plenty of games and really enjoyed it! However we unfortunately broke our streak almost straight after making the previous post. In fact we’ve had quite a few loses, all because of sloppy play and people not doing as they’re told. But when we concentrate, do what we’re told.. We are unstopable!, just like we’ve always been.

So, our current line-up now includes Zamboni77, i’m not going to write the list again, but we do have some player stats for you guys!

As you can see, we have clearly got a fantastic goal scorer on our team, gabbing the majority of the goals Mark96 is definately proving his worth. We’ve all been doing our part, Monkey Large is a great team player, i’ve been getting an awful lot of hits and the majority of the assists, and SYPhil.. .. Is doing good.

We have now played 24 games as a team and we’re in division 3 as I write this. Our results follow:

We have still got a record to be jealous of, even though we have had 5 loses, we’re still climbing up the boards and rocking NHL 09. We’ve played a couple of people twice, one team, HC Jatkoaika we have played 3 times! with out last match up seeing us spank them 4-1, and thier goal was pissy and we stopped concentrating!

Mark ‘The Bacon Saver’ Oates strikes again with this beautiful OT goal assisted by Rikoshay. Keep up the great work dude and keep putting that crumpet at the back of the net. How does he slap it like that? It’s a mystery.

NHL 09 – EA Sports Hockey League [14/09/08]

Date: 14/09/08

So we’ve just started our NHL 09 EA Sports World Hockey League campaign! The game was released on Friday so we’ve had two days worth of gameplay our of it. We’ve gone for the jerseys of Hameenlinna HPK because of the cool logo!

As it stands the current roster is:

We have sent out an invite to Zamboni77 but he hasn’t had chance to accept it yet.

This game is awesome! I haven’t had this much fun on an online game since Saints Row. The clan support offered in this game is fantasic, the best I have seen of any game released to date. The in-game leaderboards, stats and everything else that’s on offer needs to be done more often in video games.

Anyway, we’ve played 8 games so far, you can see our results in the table below:

So as you can see we’re doing really fucking well! Played 8 games and won every single one! As for the data lost part, the game wasn’t showing on the in-game records, but we still had the 8-0-0. So if you don’t take our word for it you can check it out in-game!

I’ll be writing regular updates about our performance about every week. So keep your eyes peeled.

We’ve got some excellent players on our team, especially Mark96, who has scored nearly every single goal for the team! But of course he wouldn’t have been able to do it without his Play Maker! We’ve really put in a team effort in these games and we’ve done a fantastic job so far. We’re not just a group of skilled individuals we are a team!

Update [29/06/08]

It’s been a while since the webpage has been updated and the clan has been neglected the last month or two. This keeps happening and it’s not good, but allot has been going on in all of our social lives and we’ve simply had no time!

Myself and LCDking have been very busy with college work but our academic year is coming to an end now and during the summer everyone is going to have allot more spare time!

Battlefield: Bad Company
Now this has just been released and I was hoping to be able to start some clan matches with this game. Unfortunately EA suck a big one and have left out allot of online features in the full game. There is no option in BF:BC to host a private match, all games have to be played using the matchmaking system. This makes it impossible to arrange any form of clan match.
However it does look like EA are going to be heavily supporting BF:BC. It’s been announced that a new game mode will be patched in shortly and clan support may be added in a later patch! I hate to be pessimistic but previous experiences with EA have taught me that they’re fuckers when it comes to supporting a game, but only time will tell with this one!

I’m sure you’ve all noticed my experimental videos floating around. They don’t take me a massive ammount of time to complete and they’re bringing in allot of page views for us! I’ll continue making the videos when I see fit but during the summer the clan is my main proirity.

All of us involved in the team have always been close. I want that to show on our webpage! So i’m hoping that some of you guys can write articles from time to time to help contribute to the team website! It’s easy enough to do and we’re all more than capable. I’ll speak with you guys about it soon and hopefully we can get some great content running on here!

Clan Matches
During the summer we will be playing allot more clan matches! I’ve been talking to quite a few lads to arrange a few games outside of leaderboards such as GameBattles. In the next couple of weeks i’ll start contacting people and arranging clan matches.

I’ll keep everyone posted as usual!

We have a superb team, some of the most experienced players on Xbox Live. That probably comes across big headed but fuck it! We are! When we play as a team, everyone on form, plenty of practice before a game we are unstopable! It’s about time we conquered the world boys!!

Seems the dark lord saw my posts about him and TC? He recently posted a comment on one of our posts, and he was very polite, a change from his XBL messages stating that “I am a cock” For removing him from my friends list. The message reads:

I randomly found your site and just as a fun piece of trivia, i recently played with lordvoldemort1 and tomo on CoD4.

Tomo is an ok player, nothing special. Voldemort however is growing into a formidable player.

I think your little bulletin is unprofesional and highly conceited for such an elitish lacking clan. Maybe i could have a box of tampons emailed to you?

How do I know this was Mr. V? What he seemed to forget is that I study IT and those comments leave his IP address, using my personal methods and websites I have found out that that IP belongs to LordVoldewank.

Please Volders, don’t be bitter? You were removed from my friends list when I had a clean up, and so was Milky and Sparky, when was the last time we all played together? You all drifted away and I was never going to play with you again, therfore what was the point of you being on my list?

Volde, next time you want to swan off to another clan, it’s good manners to let your ‘friends’ know that you will be leaving and letting us know why!, you wouldn’t quit your job without telling your boss would you? It would have been nice for you to show us just that ounce of respect!

Volde, you’re not l33t, you were one of the lowest skilled in PB when compared to myself, tomo, mark and leon.

Betrayal Train!

First post of the new year, so I hope everone had a happy Christmas & New Year!

For this reason it is a shame to make the first post about bad news.

Seems as though we have some clan traitors, 3 guys have crossed over to the darkside, LordVoldermort1, milkyBARRkid and Roland Sparkit.

As most of you know, these guys were back-up players, they would only be invited to clan matches if a main team member was unable to attend, this was due to thier lack of skill compared to other players. This was the reason they left. They have joined a team called Total Confusion (TC) where they will be able to play games on a regular basis. In some ways this is fair enough, but that fact that no other members were informed of thier departure, kind of ticked me off! It’s common courtesy guys! I thought you were better than that. The three ex-members have now been removed from the roster and recruiting for a new back-up squad will be going ahead in the coming months, we however will not be offering trials to anyone, the new squad will be hand picked, so please, do not keep asking for a trial!

In other news, clan matches! We hope to start playing CoD4 clan matches and Halo 3 matches again very soon, by Feburary at the latest, things are a bit mad in everones personal lives at the moment, with work and college for most members, so as soon as things start going smoothly, we will beging our new season! More information on clan mathes will be posted ASAP.

There will be no clan match again this week, We did actually have a game, against the Ultimo Alliance, but they pulled out at the last minute =/

I am really have alot of trouble getting us our clan matches, I am in the process of signing us up for a new ladder, see if we hae more luck there! So keep checking back for more infor on that!

Sorry guys, I am trying my best, things just aren’t going well these last few weeks, it’s all been a bit hexic (=P). But I will keep trying my hardest, for the interest of my family!
